《亚洲数学杂志》创刊于1997年,每年出版四期,由美国国际出版集团出版,两位主编,一位是国际著名数学家,哈佛大学教授丘成桐;另一位是著名应用数学家,香港中文大学教授陈汉夫。编委会成员由29位享有崇高名望的数学家组成,包括著名数学家John Coates(证明费马大定理的Wiles的导师),澳大利亚科学院院士Leon Simon,中国科学院院士洪家兴,香港中文大学理学院院长郑绍远,沃尔夫奖得主Saharon Shelah,菲尔兹奖得主Vladimir Voevodsky等。
编委中在国际数学家大会上作过邀请报告的青年华人数学家有翟敬立,李骏,夏志宏,辛周平。
这样的编委阵容可以说不逊色于世界上任何一个顶尖的数学期刊。

即将在2006年6月出版的《亚洲数学杂志》上刊登了曹怀东与朱熹平给出的详细描述庞加莱猜想证明的文章,由于这一期的《亚洲数学杂志》是纪念陈省身先生的专刊,具有特殊的意义。
